Before choosing a method, it is best to consult a cosmetologist who removes neoplasms. The doctor will be able to choose the right procedure, depending on the age of the patient, the individual characteristics of his body, the type of neoplasm and contraindications.
Contraindications are important. Both methods are similar, but the laser has more contraindications – therefore, when talking with a doctor, it is necessary to inform him of all chronic diseases. Before the operation, it will be necessary to pass some tests and undergo examinations in order to exclude pathologies that are contraindications.
Surgitron is more suitable for removal of papillomas and genital warts – in some cases, these neoplasms are a manifestation of skin cancer, and after removal, they can be sent for examination. The same method is recommended for eliminating bulky moles.
If you need to remove a scar, scar, stretch marks on the skin, then an erbium laser is suitable. Carbon dioxide is used to eliminate warts and wen. It is also suitable for removal of genital warts and papillomas, but in this case it will not be possible to find out what kind of neoplasm was.
Surgitron is more suitable for treating cervical erosion, since it has a shorter period of healing of the epithelium and after it no scars form on the walls of the organ.
It must be remembered that the operation should be done by an experienced cosmetologist, therefore, the choice of a specialist and clinic must be approached carefully and responsibly. The clinic must have all the necessary certificates and licenses.
To get rid of serious cosmetic defects – warts, moles, etc., you have to resort to salon procedures. To date, in cosmetology, there are several ways to remove defects, among which are surgitron and laser.
Surgitron
Surgitron (radio knife) is a cosmetology device that emits short radio waves. Under their influence, the skin neoplasm is excised and completely removed with the site of the epidermis on which it is located. The radio wave acts as a surgical scalpel, but does not cause bleeding, since blood tends to clot at high temperatures.
Using a radio knife, you can remove bulky moles, warts, papillomas and condylomas, and cure cervical erosion. This method has the following advantages:
- The operation lasts under local anesthesia.
- The duration of the procedure is 5-20 minutes, depending on the size of the neoplasm.
- After the operation, suturing is not required, therefore, no scars and scars are formed.
- The epidermis regeneration time is 7-15 days.
- The removed tissue can be sent for laboratory testing.
- You can remove the tumor from the first time.
After the operation, a hard brown crust forms on the defect site, which cannot be removed from the skin and must be disinfected daily. After a few days, the crust will fall off.
Contraindications:
- Malignant tumors.
- An implanted pacemaker.
- The period of pregnancy and lactation.
- Psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema in the neoplasm zone.
- Elevated body temperature.
- SARS, ARI, flu.
- Malaise.
- The period of solar activity (spring-summer).
Laser
Laser is one of the most popular devices in cosmetology. It is carried out using a device that emits a laser beam, which acts on the skin and cauterizes tumors. There are 2 types of lasers:
- Erbium – is used to eliminate flat cosmetic defects – scars, scars, stretch marks, volumeless moles. The essence of the action is the layered evaporation of the skin along with the defect.
- Carbon dioxide – cuts through the layers of the skin and burns them. It is used to remove bulk defects.
During the operation, the laser beam only affects the neoplasm for 1-2 minutes and does not affect healthy areas of the skin. After the operation, scars and scars do not form; the skin restoration process takes 7-14 days.
Contraindications:
- Immunodeficiency.
- Malignant tumors.
- Diabetes mellitus and other metabolic disorders.
- High blood pressure.
- Herpes.
- Elevated body temperature.
- SARS, ARI, flu.
- Malaise.
- Psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema in the neoplasm zone.
- The period of pregnancy and lactation.
Similarity methods
Both methods are used to remove warts, papillomas, adipose tissue, scars and other defects that damage the appearance. They leave no traces after themselves (except for the crust, which disappears after a few days) and do not require suturing. Also, both methods do not cause bleeding due to exposure to high temperatures.
Unlike cryodestruction, surgitron and laser act the first time, and you can get rid of the neoplasm in one procedure. The skin recovery time after both procedures is the same – about 1-2 weeks.
Both radio wave and laser surgery are performed under application anesthesia and under conditions of complete sterility. The procedure is performed by an experienced cosmetologist.
Differences
These methods have differences:
- Surgitron, like a scalpel, excises the layers of the skin along with the neoplasm, and the laser cauterizes the layers of the epidermis layer by layer.
- The exposure time of the radio knife is 5-20 minutes ; the laser acts more quickly – it takes no more than 2 minutes to remove a defect.
- Surgitron eliminates the neoplasm together with the epidermis, and the laser acts pointwise on the neoplasm, without affecting neighboring areas of the skin.
- If the defect is removed with a surgeritron, then removed tissue can be sent to the laboratory for histological analysis to find out if there was a malignant or benign tumor. With laser exposure, tissues are burned, and sending them for further research is impossible.
- The cost of the methods also varies – the price of the laser method starts at 200 rubles, and the removal with the help of a surgitron starts at 1000 rubles.
