Onion soup

250 g onions (peeled, halved and sliced), 2 tablespoons of corn oil, 500 ml vegetable stock, 2 tsp soy sauce, 25 g of rice or wheat flour.

Heat the oil in a saucepan with a thick bottom and add the onion. Cover and saute the onions 10 minutes, stirring occasionally so onion doesn’t burn. Add the broth, soy sauce and simmer for another 15-20 minutes on low heat. Dilute the flour with 100 ml of broth, pour the mixture into the pan, mix thoroughly until the soup is slightly thickened (about 5 min).

Hot liver pâté

200 g beef liver, 100 g smoked lard and butter, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 1 parsley root, 1 clove Bud, 1/2 tsp sugar, salt, pepper and lemon juice.

Tea with ginger and mint

200 g fresh ginger root (peeled and thinly sliced), 3 fresh shoots of peppermint, 500 ml non-carbonated mineral water boiled.

For the night. Mulled wine tea.

100 ml of strong tea, 150 ml of grape or cherry juice, 150 g of Apple juice, 500 g of sugar, cloves, cinnamon.
