Delicious food can be healthy.

Healthy food not only satisfies your needs for vitamins and helps to lose extra pounds, but also directly affects health: it prevents chronic diseases and improves well-being every day. In combination with regular exercise and a balanced diet, adding these “superfoods” to your diet will be very beneficial.

What are superfoods?

The Oxford Dictionary, for example, defines them as “nutrient-rich foods that are considered especially good for health and well-being.” More and more studies continue to appear, evaluating the health effects of food and confirming the significant benefits of “superfoods” over conventional foods.

1. Wheatgrass

The stems and roots of wheatgrass contain many vitamins and minerals – iron, calcium, magnesium and others. If you want to speed up the metabolism, cleanse the blood and remove inflammation from the skin, then wheat grass will come to your aid. Add it to freshly squeezed juices and fruit and vegetable smoothies, cut into salads and brew like tea.

2. Cinnamon

This delicious spice does more than just give a pleasant aroma to pastries and drinks. Cinnamon has a lot of antioxidants that lower blood sugar and cholesterol, help fight the pain and mood swings in PMS. Try sprinkling cinnamon on yogurt, oatmeal, or smoothie to increase the nutritional value of your healthy breakfast and make it a little tastier.

3. Blueberries

This berry contains vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant that helps fight skin aging and cleanse the blood. Also, blueberries have vitamin K and manganese – they strengthen the walls of blood vessels and improve vision. It is best to eat fresh blueberries, add to smoothies and fruit salads.

4. Avocado

Avocado is rich in monounsaturated fats, folic acid, vitamins C and K., which are beneficial for the heart. It contains more potassium than banana, which makes it one of the best fruits for weight loss. Make toast with avocado, add it to salads and bake on the grill. Choose elastic fruits that crumple slightly when pressed.

5. Broccoli

It contains vitamin K, useful for bone formation, and antioxidant-rich vitamins A and C, as well as folic acid, calcium and manganese. Thanks to its impressive nutrient content, broccoli helps maintain visual acuity, improve heart function and even prevent the formation of cancer. We recommend baking broccoli in the oven with the rest of the vegetables, grilling or boiling in a pan. Delicious casseroles, cutlets and warm salads are also obtained with this vegetable.
