Lactofiltrum or Hilak Forte, which is more effective

Lactofiltrum and Hilak forte are not completely interchangeable, so only the doctor should decide which medicine to choose depending on the indications. Intestinal dysbiosis is common. To restore the normal flora of the digestive tract, Lactofiltrum and Hilak forte are prescribed medications.

Lactofiltrum is a combined drug, the therapeutic effect of which is explained by lignin and lactulose. It refers to enterosorbents and osmotic laxatives.

Lignin is a natural adsorbent that binds on its surface microorganisms and their metabolic products, medicines, salts of heavy metals, ethyl alcohol, allergens, histamine, serotonin, lipids, urea, bilirubin.

The substance itself is non-toxic, it is not absorbed into the bloodstream and is completely excreted from the body during the day.

Lactulose is also not absorbed in the intestine, it is a substrate for the growth and reproduction of bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. In the colon, it undergoes hydrolysis, as a result of which lactic, acetic and methane acid are formed. They inhibit the growth of pathogenic bacteria and reduce the formation of harmful nitrogen-containing compounds. All this leads to an increase in osmotic pressure and increased intestinal motility.

Lactofiltrum is recommended to be taken if the following pathologies are diagnosed:

  • Dysbacteriosis of the intestines and vagina, including those caused by antibiotic treatment.
  • Irritable bowel syndrome.
  • Inflammation and cirrhosis of the liver.
  • Allergies such as urticaria, atopic dermatitis.

Lactofiltrum should be drunk an hour before a meal. If the patient cannot swallow the tablet whole, then it is allowed to grind.

The treatment regimen is selected individually depending on the diagnosis and age of the patient. With intestinal dysbiosis, the drug is drunk three times a day in the following dosages:

Age Single dose tablets
1-3 years 0.5
3-7 years 1
8-12 years old 1-2
From 12 years 2-3

If the microflora of the vagina is disturbed, the medicine is drunk 2 tablets three times a day. On average, the duration of therapy is 14-21 days, if necessary, the doctor may prescribe a second course of treatment.

Hilak forte

Hilak forte refers to antidiarrheal drugs of biological origin. It consists of microorganisms that restore the intestinal normoflora. It allows you to save the biological and physiological function of the gastrointestinal mucosa. The composition of the medication includes lactic acid and its salts, which normalize the pH of the digestive tract, regardless of whether the person has high or low acidity.

Hilak forte

Due to the fact that the intestinal microflora is normalized, vitamins B and K begin to be synthesized in it.

The short-chain volatile fatty acids included in the composition restore the disturbed intestinal microflora during digestive tract infections, accelerate healing of the intestinal walls, and water-salt balance in the gastrointestinal tract.

There is evidence that the drug increases the body’s defenses, as it stimulates the immune response.

In infants, salmonella is excreted faster after salmonella enteritis due to medication.

Hilak forte is used to treat the following pathologies:

  • Violation of the intestinal microflora, including caused by radiotherapy, antibiotic therapy.
  • Digestive Disorder Syndrome.
  • Dyspeptic disorders.
  • Loose stools, constipation, bloating.

  • Enterogenic pathologies of the gallbladder and liver.
  • Hypo – and anacid diseases.
  • Salmonellosis in the phase of convalescence.
  • Skin allergic reactions, such as urticaria, chronic eczema.

Hilak forte should be drunk before or during meals, diluting the medicine in a small amount of liquid.

The drug is taken three times a day in the following dosages:

Age Single dosage in drops
Babies 15-30
Children 20-40
