Keeping a clean work space

So how can you keep your space clean?

While many companies have mandated remote work in an effort to practice social distancing, not all have done so or are able to do so, which leaves many people concerned about maintaining a hygienic workspace.

Believe it or not, you probably already have disinfectants in your utility closet that kill coronavirus. It’s important to clean surfaces before touching them. You can use a disinfectant wipe to keep common surfaces and electronic devices like your phone clean, as well.

You also need to keep your hands clean in case you inadvertently come in contact with the virus. Alcohol-based hand sanitizers kill the virus very effectively. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

And remember – the major reason infections are transmitted so easily is because we can’t see the microorganisms that cause them. That’s why it’s especially important to assume everyone you come in contact with has the virus, even if they don’t have any symptoms. Keep your distance.

The most important thing you can do right now is keep your wits about you. Panic and desperation should be reserved for problems without solutions; this is not one of them. Focus on what you can do to protect yourself, your family and your community. Pay close attention to news from trusted sources only, and don’t forget to breathe – still no face mask needed.

I understand the fear. But understanding how this virus is transmitted is the key to stopping it. And yes, it can be stopped.
