Both drugs belong to combined hormonal contraceptives. Composed of identical substances. Shown for one purpose. Cause some side effects and contraindications.

Regulon and Novinet are indicated for oral contraception. At risk, women are prone to venous thromboembolism. With symptoms of this disease, the drugs are immediately canceled.

Not shown:

  1. When planning pregnancy and during its onset.

  4. With a stroke, a history of TIA.

At risk for patients with:

  • Diabetes mellitus.

The basis of the tablets is desogestrel (0.15 mg) and ethinyl estradiol (0.03 mg). The effect of the drug is due to the suppression of gonadotropin and the process of ovulation. It has the ability to slow down the movement of sperm in the cervical canal. Does not allow a fertilized egg to attach.

The main substances are synthetic estrogen and progestogen. They are at high speed and are almost completely absorbed, metabolized in the mucous membranes of the small intestine, liver. It is excreted by the intestines, kidneys.

High doses of the drug can cause headache, convulsive conditions of the calf muscles, and dyspepsia. To eliminate unwanted reactions of the body, symptomatic treatment is prescribed.

Regulon causes a number of side effects:

If the tablets began to be taken from the 2nd to the 5th day of MC, then additional concentration protection is required for another week.

On the 6th day of MC, the drug is not shown. We need to wait for the start of the new MC.

Take a tablet once a day. It is necessary to adhere to one time. The course is 21 days / 21 tablets. Then a break of 7 days. At this time, menstrual bleeding should pass.

After a break of seven days, you can start taking pills from a new package.
In the postpartum period, you can use the drug only after the cessation of lactation. This can be real only 21 days after delivery. If there has already been sexual contact, the use of the drug is delayed until the onset of the menstrual cycle.

The transition to Regulon, after other contraceptives, can be done the next day, after the end of the previous one. If necessary, delay the next menstruation, the pill continues without a break of 7 days.

Novinet

A hormonal contraceptive containing desogestrel (0.15 mg) and ethinyl estradiol (0.02 mg). Light yellow tablets, round, biconvex, under the shell. On the one hand, the marking is “P9”, on the other – “RG”.

Novinet

A contraceptive based on synthetic estrogen and progestogen. Their action is more active than natural sex hormones.

The effect of the drug is due to the prevention of the production of luteinizing, follicle-stimulating hormones. And this prevents the implementation of ovulation. Due to the increase in viscosity of cervical mucus, the movement of sperm into the body of the uterus is difficult.

Novinet is taken orally. According to the scheme with the number and arrow indicated on the package. One tablet for 21 days. The next course begins after a seven-day break, during which menstruation takes place.

There are cases of overdose in the form of nausea, spotting from the vagina. The treatment is symptomatic. If undesirable symptoms appear within 1-3 hours, you need to rinse your stomach.

The drug causes side effects:

  • Limited skin pigmentation (chloasma).
  • Thrombosis, thromboembolism.
  • A rash accompanied by itching.
  • Nodular, erythema multiforme.
  • Allergy.
  • Fatigue.
  • Diarrhea.
  • Apathy.
