Broncho-Vaxom or Bronchomunal, which is more effective

Being structural analogues, the immunomodulators presented do not have any significant differences. They differ only in producing countries, Broncho-Vax – Switzerland, Bronchomunal – Slovenia. The difference in prices is also insignificant. Swiss remedy costs a little cheaper.

Thus, patients, seeing the complete identity of the drugs, can not make a choice.

Here we can say that for the course of prevention or treatment of respiratory infections, you can purchase any of the medicines.

They have the same efficiency. However, if the medicine is purchased for a child, it is better to give preference to Bronchomunal. This is due to the fact that Bronhovascom (children) causes more undesirable negative reactions of an allergic nature.

In any case, you must consult your doctor before purchasing this or that immunomodulating agent.

Recurrent respiratory diseases are the most common among the population. Probably every person encounters the flu, SARS, or rhinitis every year.

Children and the elderly are especially susceptible to respiratory infections, since in the former the body has not yet fully matured, and in the latter, due to age, the immune system is weakened.

For the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases, doctors often prescribe immunostimulating drugs.

These include drugs such as Broncho-Vaxom and Bronchomunal.

“Broncho-Vaxom”: characteristics of the drug

“Broncho-Vaxom” is a medicine of bacterial origin. It belongs to the group of immunostimulating drugs. It has a pronounced immunomodulatory effect.

Its main task is to activate the immune system and increase the body’s resistance to various infections of the respiratory tract.

Broncho-Vaxom

Taking the drug stimulates the production of B-lymphocytes and increases their circulating number. After the activation of B-lymphocytes, enhanced production of polyclonal antibodies (PKAT) begins, which are the main defenders of the body against bacteria and viruses. In other words, an immunomodulator activates the process of triggering biological reactions that enhance the body’s immune response to an attack of infectious agents.

The use of “Broncho-Vaxom” helps to reduce the incidence of respiratory infections, accelerates the healing period. At the same time, the need to take other drugs, especially antibiotics, is significantly reduced.

In addition, the use of this medication reduces the risk of bacterial complications after respiratory infections.

Composition and form of release

The active component of the drug is lyophilized bacterial lysates:

  • Pyogenic streptococcus.
  • Green Streptococcus.
  • Klebsiella pneumoniae.
  • Moraxella cataralis.
  • Klebsiella Ozena.
  • Pneumococcus.
  • Haemophilus influenzae.
  • Staphylococcus aureus.

Additional components are present, including titanium dioxide, mannitol, gelatin, sodium glutamate, magnesium stearate, propyl gallate, indigotine, etc.

It is produced by Broncho-Vax in the form of hard gelatin capsules, blue.

In one capsule is 7 mg of the main active substance.

There is a medication in a children’s dosage. Release form – capsules of white-blue color. The dose of the active ingredient is 3.5 mg per capsule. Such a dosage is intended for children aged 6 months to 12 years.

The manufacturer of the drug is the Swiss pharmaceutical company OM FARMA.

Indications and contraindications

An immunostimulant is prescribed in the following cases:

  1. Acute infectious diseases of the respiratory tract (as part of complex therapy).
  2. Prevention of exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.
  3. Prevention of recurrence of respiratory infection.

Appointment is contraindicated in:

  • Allergies to the constituent components.
  • Children under 6 months of age.

Due to the lack of data on the use of the drug in women during pregnancy and HB, its use during this period is not allowed.

Side effects are very rare. In some cases, the appearance of urticaria, cough, headache, dyspepsia, shortness of breath.

“Bronchomunal”: characteristics of the drug

“Bronchomunal” is a medication that activates local immunity. Immunostimulant of bacterial origin.

Bronchomunal

The action is aimed at increasing the body’s resistance to bacterial and viral infections. The drug has a direct effect on circulating B-lymphocytes, increases their number. This leads to an increase in the synthesis of PKAT, in particular immunoglobulins G and A. In turn, immunoglobulins attack pathological microorganisms and render them harmless.

It has been proven that taking Bronchomunal increases the body’s protective resources, and can more successfully resist the attacks of pathogens.

Also, the medication can reduce the need for taking antibiotic drugs and a number of other drugs.

In addition, the risk of exacerbation of chronic bronchitis is significantly reduced. The incidence of acute respiratory infections is decreasing. The duration of the disease is reduced. The likelihood of a bacterial infection joining the viral disease is minimized.

Composition and form of release

The active substance of the drug is a lyophilized (frozen out) lysate of bacteria, including 8 different types of microorganisms:

  • Staphylococcus aureus.
  • Green Streptococcus.
  • Haemophilus influenzae.
  • Streptococcus pyogenic.
  • Klebsiella pneumoniae.
  • Pneumococcus.
  • Klebsiella Ozena.
  • Moraxella catarlis.

As structure-forming ingredients, the composition contains: mannitol, sodium glutamate, alpha-starch, titanium dioxide, gelatin, propyl gallate, magnesium stearate, indigotine.

Bronchomunal is available in capsule form. Capsules are blue in color. Gelatin coated. One capsule contains 7 mg of active substance.

For children “Bronhomunal P” is issued . It also has the appearance of capsules. The capsule body is white, the cap is blue. Contains 3.5 mg of lysate per ode capsule.

The medicine is produced by the pharmaceutical company “LEK” (Slovenia).

Indications and contraindications

The purpose of the drug is shown in cases:

  • Acute ENT infections (laryngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis).
  • Inflammation of the lower respiratory tract (tracheitis, pneumonia, bronchitis).
  • Prevention of exacerbation of chronic bronchitis.
  • Prevention of complications of viral infections.

Contraindications for admission are:

  1. Hypersensitivity to constituent components.
  2. Pregnancy.
  3. Period GW.
  4. The age of the child is less than 6 months.

The drug is well tolerated. Side effects in the form of allergic reactions, diarrhea, nausea, cough, shortness of breath are rarely observed.

Drug similarities

If we compare the characteristics of medications, it turns out that they are absolute analogues:

  1. They belong to the same pharmacological group – immunostimulants.
  2. The composition and concentration of the active components and excipients are completely identical.
  3. They have the same pharmacological action aimed at strengthening the body’s defenses and increasing immunity.
  4. There are no differences in the therapeutic effect. Both drugs activate the production of immunoglobulins, stimulate the immune response, and increase phagocytosis.
  5. Available in one dosage form – capsules.
  6. Doses of administration and its duration also coincide.
  7. They are prescribed for the prevention and treatment of the same pathologies.
  8. They have an identical list of side effects and contraindications.
  9. They have the same high efficiency and safety.
  10. Available in pharmacies without a prescription.
