What Motivated Wendy Williams To Lose Weight?
Her continuous struggle with her weight was what motivated Wendy Williams! She always loved to eat, which made her weight an issue for her.
In an interview, she said, “My first diet was in the first grade! Tuna fish and mustard with yogurt on the side. Weight was a big thing for me to overcome.” She wanted to keep herself healthy. She said, “It’s not about me losing weight at this point, it’s about me trying to fight heart disease.”
When none of the crazy fad diets worked for her, she stepped up her game and finally lost the weight. And here’s how she did it.
How Did Wendy Williams Lose 50 Pounds?
To lose weight, Wendy Williams had to change her relationship with food. She revealed that she just told herself, “Just push back, fatso. Just stop eating so much.” She started having a good breakfast, which completely helped her change her life. She has sausage, eggs, and cheese for breakfast.
She said in an interview, “I like it with a little bit of maple syrup and some hot sauce, so you get the savory-sweet. That’s what I had this morning. But sometimes I’ll have a bunch of fruit…there’s always a green juice in the morning.”
Recently, she turned into a pescetarian – meaning the only animals she eats are fish. She mostly follows a vegan diet and does cardio and Pilates to keep herself in shape.
If you are plain curious about her diet or want to try it out, here’s a sample diet chart:
Wendy Williams Weight Loss Diet Plan
|Meals||What To Eat|
|Breakfast (7:00 a.m.)||Green juice|
|Lunch (12:00 p.m)||Baked fish + 1 cup of fresh greens and veggies|
|Snack (3:30 p.m.)||Green tea or fruit juice|
|Dinner (6:00 p.m.)||Tuna salad or mushroom soup|
Yes, this is a restrictive diet, but you can always sneak in a few minutes between breakfast and lunch for a quick snack. Just make sure you eat healthy foods and not hog junk.
Also, calorie or junk food restriction alone doesn’t work. Wendy was determined to keep her heart health in mind too. So, she works out regularly. Here’s a sample workout routine:

Did Wendy Williams Go Under The Knife To Lose Weight?
Wendy Williams had undergone a tummy tuck and liposuctions to help get her weight in control. But she had to take measures in terms of her food consumption and daily exercise to lose more weight over three years and maintain the weight loss.
She said, “ I no longer believe in fad diets, crash diets…yes, I did have a jump-start because years ago I did get the liposuction and a tummy tuck, but I have to say that, if there is a poster child for plastic surgery and the jump-off to a new lifestyle, it would be me.”
But she also says that she had to work hard to get off her bad eating habits. And today, she proudly owns her weight loss. She said, “I did it on my own and I love it because I no longer have to do that fight with clothing.”

Wendy Williams Wellness Advice
- No Crazy Diets – Wendy Williams had tried a variety of fad diets that did not help her at all. The fad diets only aid short-term weight loss, and you will regain the weight back as quickly as you lost it!
- Be On A Healthy Diet – After her liposuction and tummy tuck, Williams had to be on a healthy diet to avoid regaining the weight. And she was successful in doing so by following a healthy diet.
- Control Portion Size – Apart from eating healthy, you must also control the portion size. Because anything in excess can be harmful and lead to weight gain.
These are important weight management lessons you must know if you want to lose the weight and keep the pounds off like Wendy does.
To conclude, Wendy Williams loves her new self and has never felt better. More than weight loss, it’s her new love for a healthy lifestyle that keeps her “feel good” hormones firing. You too can achieve that. So, take control of your eating habits and see yourself change – in and out. Cheers!
