Concor – helping the heart
This is the commercial name for a medicine manufactured in Germany. International – Bisoprolol. A tablet includes 5 or 10 mg of the active ingredient.
Concor is a representative of a group of selective (i.e., selective) adrenergic blockers. Bisoprolol and group mates selectively bind to adrenaline and norepinephrine receptors only in the vessels and heart. Concor practically does not affect other organs. By blocking the receptors, bisoprolol prevents the development of adrenal effect. The lumen of the vessels widens, the heart begins to contract less often, but more efficiently.
The dosage is calculated only by the doctor, usually start with 2.5 mg and monitor tolerance. The drug is drunk once a day.
Concor cannot be used in the following conditions:
- Violation of rhythmic contractions of the heart, such as severe bradycardia, blockade.
- Cardiogenic shock (pressure drop due to loss of contractility of the heart).
- Bronchial asthma is uncompensated.
- Raynaud’s vascular disease.
- Adrenal tumor with the release of adrenaline into the blood – pheochromocytoma.
- A sharp decrease in pressure.
- Acidosis is a change in the acid-base balance of the body towards acidification.

What is the difference
