Cardiologists prescribe these drugs to patients suffering from hypertension. Often, both medications are included in treatment regimens. Concor and Amlodipine maintain vascular tone at a normal level and prevent their sharp narrowing.
Reducing the load on the heart gives the heart muscle the ability to work in a calm mode. The flow of oxygen, nutrients to the heart is maintained in full.
Amlodipine is often prescribed for uncomplicated hypertension. The concor is connected with frequent attacks of angina pectoris, the development of severe heart failure. Bisoprolol is also an important element of drug support after a heart attack.
These drugs can not be drunk once . Some patients only take medication if their blood pressure is high. The effectiveness of antihypertensive therapy depends on the regularity of medication. Timely and regularly taken pill will maintain vascular tone at an adequate level, prevent a sharp increase in pressure, protect the heart and brain from heart attack, stroke
Properly selected therapy with high blood pressure is the key to good health and performance. The pharmacy market presents hundreds of drugs for hypertensive patients. The assortment of every self-respecting pharmaceutical company necessarily includes medicines that lower blood pressure. We study the representatives of two groups – Amlodipine and Concor.
Amlodipine – Stop Calcium
Amlodipine is an international name familiar to any doctor. Pharmaceutical concerns give personal brand names, but some companies leave the name unchanged. Therefore, in the pharmacy you can find both the drug Amlodipine and its analogues. The content in the tablet varies from 5 to 10 mg.
The principle of the drug’s work is based on its ability to prevent the entry of calcium into the muscle cells of blood vessels and the heart. A decrease in the level of calcium causes a decrease in the tone of the muscle layer. The vessels expand, the pressure drops.
In addition, Amlodipine reduces the load on the heart , the heart muscle receives rest, works more efficiently.
One tablet taken is enough for a whole day, the dosage is selected individually for the patient.
The use of the drug is strictly limited in such conditions as:
- Stenosis of the largest vessel – the aorta (i.e. narrowing of the aorta)
- A sharp drop in pressure, shock.
- Acute period of myocardial infarction.
- Unstable angina pectoris.
Concor – helping the heart
This is the commercial name for a medicine manufactured in Germany. International – Bisoprolol . A tablet includes 5 or 10 mg of the active ingredient.
Concor is a representative of a group of selective (i.e., selective) adrenergic blockers. Bisoprolol and group mates selectively bind to adrenaline and norepinephrine receptors only in the vessels and heart. Concor practically does not affect other organs. By blocking the receptors, bisoprolol prevents the development of adrenal effect. The lumen of the vessels widens, the heart begins to contract less often, but more efficiently.
The dosage is calculated only by the doctor, usually start with 2.5 mg and monitor tolerance. The drug is drunk once a day.
Concor cannot be used in the following conditions:
- Violation of rhythmic contractions of the heart, such as severe bradycardia, blockade.
- Cardiogenic shock (pressure drop due to loss of contractility of the heart).
- Bronchial asthma is uncompensated.
- Raynaud’s vascular disease.
- Adrenal tumor with the release of adrenaline into the blood – pheochromocytoma.
- A sharp decrease in pressure.
- Acidosis is a change in the acid-base balance of the body towards acidification.
What is in common between Amlodipine and Concor
The drugs are used in cardiology to correct and maintain normal pressure for hypertension. They are prescribed for chronic heart diseases such as angina pectoris and heart failure.
Drugs containing amlodipine and bisoprolol in one tablet are available.
Also, these drugs can be used in conjunction with medicines from other groups to reduce blood pressure.
Medications are taken daily, even if the patient feels satisfactory, and the tonometer shows pressure figures within normal limits.
These drugs are tolerated without any problems with the required dosage.
