Imudon and Lizobakt, the choice of drug

Both are available in the same dosage form. Despite the fact that they belong to different pharmacotherapeutic groups, they are aimed at restoring the mucous membranes of the oral cavity.

Not used for the treatment of children under 3 years of age. They have a number of side effects. Interact with other medicinal products.

Often in the appointment there are Imudon and Lizobakt. Is it possible to do one of them, or do they complement each other? The answer to this question lies in a detailed analysis of each.

Imudon

Absorbable tablets with a mint flavor. The drug is in the group of immunostimulants.

The peculiarity of the tablets is that they contain a group of bacterial lysates and stabilizers. One of them is glycine (2 mg).

Imudon

The complex of inactivated microorganisms has an immunobiological effect on the pathological processes of the oral cavity. This action is due to anti-infective properties and the ability to eliminate the inflammatory process.

Imudon stimulates and increases the immunocompetent cells that produce antibodies.

The medicinal properties of the drug are aimed at eliminating pain, erythema, inflammation of the focus, stench and expressions in the mouth, in the throat.

The dosage form goes well with other groups. At the time of treatment, it is important to observe some rules: after resorption of Imudon for 60 minutes, do not eat foods or drinks.

Dosage depends on the stage of the disease. For relapses of inflammatory-infectious processes, 8 tablets are recommended for 24 hours. It is important to maintain an interval of 2-3 hours. Course up to two weeks. In some cases, the period can be increased up to 2 weeks.

For preventive purposes, Imudon take six tablets within 24 hours. The course is 20 days. Repeat after 4 months.

The drug does not cause an overdose, even at elevated doses. In most cases, Imudon is well tolerated by patients.

An exception is patients with a predisposition to allergic reactions. The following symptoms are likely to occur: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hives, itching. AD (shortness of breath) may worsen, body temperature may rise, and a cough may appear.

In the exceptions: tachycardia, hemorrhage, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, platelet lowering, erythema nodosum, increased sweating.

Lysobact

Absorbable tablets: round, color from creamy white to yellow, with a one-sided separate dash. Each of them includes an active substance: lysozyme hydrochloride (20 mg) and pyridoxine hydrochloride (10 mg).

Lysobact

Lizobakt refers to antiseptics. The drug stabilizes local immunity. Suppresses microorganisms of bacterial, fungal, viral origin.

Pyridoxine forms a protective barrier to the oral mucosa. The medicine dissolves slowly.

The children’s category of patients (3-7 years) is prescribed – 1 tab / 3 times. children from 7-12 years old – 1 tab / 4 times. After 12 years – 2 tablets / 3-4 times. The duration of therapy is a week.

In recommended doses, an overdose is excluded. If exceeded, unpleasant sensations in the limbs in the form of numbness, tingling, loss of sensitivity are possible. In this case, a plentiful drink is recommended.

Sometimes adverse reactions can occur: burning, rash, redness, irritation in the mouth.

The action of diuretics, antibiotics is enhanced with simultaneous treatment with Lisobact.

What is the difference between drugs
  1. The first thing that catches your eye is the country of origin. Imudon – Russia, Lizobakt – Bosnia and Herzegovina.
  2. Imudon belongs to the group of immunostimulants, and lysobact – antiseptics.
  3. Due to inactivated microorganisms included in Imudon, the resistance of cells to harmful microorganisms that cause pathological conditions increases.
  4. In Lysobact, lysozyme disinfects harmful bacteria, fungi, viruses, thereby strengthening immune cells. Pyrodoxin creates a protective barrier to the mucous membranes.
  5. Imudon is not used in the treatment of pregnant and lactating. Lysobact can be prescribed for this category of patients.
To whom and which drug is best suited

Imudon is recommended both independently and in combination. It is used for prevention.

Suitable for persons with a diagnosis of:

  • Infectious complications after tonsillectomy.
  • Acute and chronic inflammation of the pharynx.
  • Chronic inflammation of the pharyngeal and palatine tonsils.
  • Deep damage to the teeth, inflammation of the tissues of the jaw, inflammation of the mucous membrane of the tongue, gums.
  • Expressions on the gums due to prostheses.
  • Infectious inflammation after tooth extraction.
  • Inflammation caused by dysbiosis.

Imudon is not suitable for those who have hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Contraindicated in individuals with autoimmune diseases.

Cautiously prescribed to people following a salt-free diet, since the drug contains Na (15 mg).

A person with a history of asthma (shortness of breath) should take into account that the drug contains bacterial lysates, and they can provoke an attack.

Imudon is prohibited for patients with a hereditary form of galactose intolerance, as it contains lactose. Can not be used by pregnant and lactating, children under 3 years.

Lysobact is prescribed for the treatment of inflammation caused by infections in the mouth, larynx, and gums.

Suitable for patients with a diagnosis of:

  1. Erosive manifestations on the mucous membranes.
  2. Thermal burns (complex treatment).
  3. Aphthous ulcers.
  4. Inflammation of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract.
  5. Gum disease without compromising the integrity of the gingival joint.

Not suitable for people who do not tolerate lactose and who do not have enough lactase in the body. The drug is contraindicated in patients with individual intolerance to one of the components in the composition. Not indicated for children under three years of age.

The advantage of Lizobact over Imudon is the ability to use during pregnancy and feeding.
