Lavomax and Amiksin, the choice of drug

Before using any of the means described, it is advisable to consult a doctor or pharmacist. You should also always carefully read the instructions. Thanks to this, treatment will be more effective, and the risk of harm to health will be significantly reduced.

In the cold season, the immune system weakens. The time of colds, SARS and flu begins. In such cases, immunostimulating drugs are simply irreplaceable. It is these tools that contribute to the activation of the body’s defenses. Thanks to this, human immunity fights various viruses.

Many come to a standstill when choosing an immunomodulating drug. After all, the pharmaceutical industry advocates many such medicines. Lavomax and Amiksin are considered one of the most popular and effective. These funds have much in common, but at the same time they have significant differences. To understand which of them, when and for whom it will be better, it is worth understanding the mechanism of their action.

Lavomax

Lavomax is an antiviral and immunomodulating drug. The active substance is tyrolone. It contributes to the production of all types of interferons. (there are three types 1, 2 and 3). Thanks to them, natural defenses are activated. It is not a direct fight against viruses.

Lavomax

Available in tablet form and with a dosage of 125 mg. There is no child remedy. Allowed only from 18 years old. In a pack of 4, 6, 10 and 20 tablets.

The tool has the following properties:

  • Prevents the incorporation of viruses into cellular structures.
  • Promotes the production of antibodies necessary to eliminate the reproduction of viruses.
  • A high level of effectiveness in combination with a convenient intake – 1 tablet for the first 2 days, and then every other day in a piece.

Indications for use are:

  1. ARVI.
  2. Herpes viruses of various types.
  3. Cytomegalovirus.
  4. Infections of urogenital nature.
  5. In additional therapy for encephalitis and encephalomyelitis.

There are almost no contraindications. Lavomax is prohibited only for pregnant and lactating. Also, it should not be taken with individual intolerance (infrequently, but occurs).

Side effects are rare. And they arise in the form of: allergic reactions, diarrhea, nausea. Short-term fever is sometimes possible.

Amixin

Amixin is an antiviral and immunostimulating drug. The main active ingredient of the drug is tyrolone. The release form is presented in tablets with two dosage options: adult with 125 mg and children with 60 mg. The package contains 10 pieces.

Amixin

This drug has a lot of pharmacological properties:

  • Eliminates the process of introducing viruses into the body and interferes with their activity.
  • It stimulates the synthesis of interferons – it is these substances that are necessary for high resistance to various pathogens.
  • It reaches the maximum concentration in the blood on the first day of treatment, which indicates the achievement of a quick effect.
  • A high level of effectiveness is combined with ease of use – once every 1 or 2 days (depending on the treatment regimen).

The range of application of Amiksin is quite wide. He successfully fights with:

  1. Herpes.
  2. ARVI.
  3. Cytomegalovirus.
  4. Pulmonary tuberculosis.
  5. Encephalitis, encephalomyelitis (in complex therapy).
  6. Urogenital infections.

The list of contraindications is small, but nevertheless it exists. The drug should not be taken with:

  • Hypersensitivity to the ingredients of the drug.
  • Pregnancy and lactation.

Amixin is fairly well tolerated. But in some situations, some side effects may occur: allergic reactions, digestive disorders, nausea and slight chills.

What is common between drugs

The drugs in question have a lot in common. Most importantly, a similar function is performed. Both drugs activate the body’s defenses and make it cope with viral diseases. Very often, both Lavomax and Amiksin are called antiviral drugs. But in part this is not so. Rather, they simply “boost” immunity and improve it.

In addition to general purpose, the described immunomodulators have other similar features:

  • On the general basis – tyrolone is the main active substance in the composition of drugs.
  • M The mechanisms of action – entering the body act on the intestinal, hepatic and blood cells and stimulate the formation of interferon.
  • In fusion on stem cells, antibodies are produced (they inhibit the reproduction of viral cells).
  • Both immunostimulants are almost equally effective against many strains of viruses.
  • Prohibited during pregnancy and lactation.
  • The prices are almost identical (produced in Russia) – the difference between them is insignificant.

Despite many common features, the funds in question have significant differences. Their knowledge will help to make the right choice in favor of this or that.

Comparison and differences

Lavomax and Amiksin have a number of distinctive features. They must be taken into account.

  1. Dosage of drugs : in the first, it is 125 mg, and in the second – 125 and 60 mg. This means that Lavomax does not have a special drug for children.
  2. Use in children. They can take Lavomax only from the age of 18 (due to too high a dosage). Amiksin is allowed from 7 years.
  3. Release form. Both products are available in the form of tablets, but their number in the package is not the same. The first contains 6, 10 and 20 pieces. In the second, there are more variations – 4, 6, 10 and 20 tablets.
  4. Amixin has been used successfully to treat tuberculosis.
  5. Composition. Sucrose is present in Lavomax, which carries some risk for diabetics. It also has beeswax, which sometimes provokes an allergy. As for Amixin, sodium salts are present in its constituents. They are needed for better absorption of the drug.

When choosing between one and the other described means, it is necessary to pay attention not only to similarities, but also to differences. This will minimize any risk of harm to health.

What to choose

Based on the foregoing, we can draw the following conclusions. Firstly, children from 7 to 18 years old should prefer Amiksin. And after age 18, it is already allowed to take Lavomax.

Secondly, in the presence of diabetes mellitus and other disorders of glucose uptake, you need to choose Amiksin. With a tendency to allergic reactions, it will also be the best solution.

Thirdly, with pulmonary tuberculosis, Amixin provides high efficiency. It is part of general therapy.

Fourth, in relation to the common cold, SARS and herpes, both immunomodulators are equally effective. But Amiksin has a wider range of applications.
