Timely inspection prevents disease

The situation needs to be corrected: we instill a good habit of monitoring health and tell you which doctors you need to go to every year.

We are constantly told that it is better to prevent a disease than to treat it in an advanced stage. However, few regularly undergo preventive examinations by doctors.

Basically, we turn to the specialized doctor when we feel pain or general malaise.

Doctors to visit every year

You need to take care of your health carefully – we talk about the necessary examinations

Therapist

The first doctor you should go to is a therapist. He conducts an initial examination, listens to the patient’s complaints and redirects him to the appropriate specialist after passing tests and identifying symptoms of the disease. The therapist usually prescribes such tests: general blood test, biochemical blood test, general analysis of urine and feces, ECG, fluorography. These examinations need to be done once a year, blood and urine can be taken more often – once every six months.

Gynecologist

Surprisingly, many women are inattentive to reproductive health and rarely visit a gynecologist. In fact, you can come to this doctor for a consultation from the age of 5-6 years. For women who have begun sexually, visiting a gynecologist should be a healthy habit – it is better to come for an examination once every six months.

The doctor should examine you on a chair, take a smear on the flora and cystology and prescribe an ultrasound of the pelvic organs and abdominal cavity, as well as a blood test for hormones: thyroid hormones (T3, T4, antibodies to TSH), pituitary hormones (TSH, FSH, LH, prolactin), sex hormones (testosterone, estradiol, estriol) and adrenal hormones (cortisol, ACTH).

Mammologist

In addition to the reproductive system, women need to check the mammary glands by manually examining a specialist and an ultrasound scan. Due to timely examination, a cancerous tumor and obstruction of the ducts can be detected in the early stages. Particularly attentive should be women who have recently given birth to a baby and breastfeeding.

Dentist

Remember to visit your dentist regularly. For those who have no problems with teeth, you can visit a specialist once a year, and for people with problem teeth – once every six months or 3-4 months. It is necessary to conduct an examination of the oral cavity for caries and the formation of stones and hygienic cleaning to remove stones and plaque.

Oculist

A specialist in eye examination should assess visual acuity using a table, check the fundus and blood vessels using a table lamp, dripping a special tool in the eyes. The more time you spend at the computer, the more often you need to come for a consultation. It is possible that your eyes are not hydrated enough – the doctor will prescribe the necessary medications.
