Salofalk granules are contraindicated in patients with serious kidney pathologies, since mesalazine causes a nephrotoxic effect.

Patients with bronchial asthma are closely monitored during the treatment with Salofalk granules and tablets.

Patients in whom sulfasalazine caused adverse reactions should be observed by a specialist, especially at the beginning of treatment with the drug. In the presence of: seizures, severe abdominal pain, rash, headache, fever, – the drug (of any form) is canceled.

Granules contain aspartame sweeteners – this is important for patients with phenylketonuria.

Caution is prescribed to women planning a pregnancy, 1 trimester of pregnancy. Prohibited in the last month of pregnancy. During lactation, a doctor’s consultation is necessary.

The main indications of Salofalk capsules: exacerbation of ulcerative colitis of medium and mild distal intestines; long-term therapy to maintain a remission of these conditions.
