How to drink more water

You can talk endlessly about the benefits of pure drinking water for the body, but what is the point if you do not put knowledge into practice?

If you want to stay awake all day, have clean, radiant skin and hair, speed up the thought process and, in general, feel better, you can’t do without water. We tell you how to teach yourself to drink enough water a day.

Set a goal

You might think: “Why do I need this if I have promised myself many times to drink more and nothing worked?” Believe me, you will feel a noticeable difference when you change tactics a bit. Buy a two-liter bottle of clean drinking water and place it in front of you on the table.

You can use a permanent marker to divide the bottle with dashes at the same distance from each other. Sign the time: 8.00, 10.00, 12.00 and so on. This will be your goal: by a certain hour you need to drink a volume of water to the mark. You can start experimenting with juice, milk or tea if you used to drink water irregularly.

Add flavor

With the existing variety of products on the shelves of supermarkets, we have become dependent on the taste of food – now we more likely find chocolate with strawberries “boring” and replace it with another – with chia seeds and honey. What can we say about water…

We’ll have to go on about the brain and diversify the water by adding taste to it – pour a handful of fresh or frozen berries into the bottle, add a decoction of herbs, for example, mint, chamomile, lemon balm, or cut lemon and cucumber in circles. In addition to taste, water will bring even more benefits to the body – berries, vegetables and decoctions contain antioxidants that slow down the aging process.

Let the water be cold

Agree that chilled water is nicer and easier to drink than room temperature water. Add ice or frozen berries to the glass – they will lower the temperature of the water. You can also make ice cubes yourself – mix a decoction of herbs and lemon juice, add pieces of fruits and berries and freeze the mixture. It is important that the water is not icy, otherwise you can easily catch a cold.

Use a straw

Surprisingly, this simple tip works! While you drink water through a pipe in small sips, the water from the glass disappears right before your eyes. No wonder children buy unusual glasses entwined with tubes – this is a method of distraction, a game element that really captivates and makes you drink more than usual.

Install the mobile app

Many companies have released an application to monitor water consumption. In some you will note how many glasses have drunk. In others, water the virtual plant with water that you have already consumed. Choose the application to your taste and do not forget to use it. In the settings you can enable a reminder that will be displayed on the screen of your smartphone every couple of hours with the intention of reminding you to drink another glass of water.
