Chronic fatigue ruins your life

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) is not just “I’m tired,” but a serious illness that needs to be treated, rather than wait for it to pass.

The main difference between CFS is that you do not feel rested, even if you spent the weekend fully.

Of course, one or two symptoms do not indicate the presence of the disease, but if you notice all of them, then this is an occasion to consult a doctor.

You have trouble sleeping

If you notice that:

  • No matter how difficult the day, you cannot fall asleep;
  • you sleep the right time, but do not feel sleepy;
  • your night’s sleep has become intermittent and restless

Do not rush to take sleeping pills or sedatives. All these symptoms can indicate the presence of CFS, and in this case it is better not to self-medicate, but to go to the doctor.

Your physical condition has deteriorated significantly for no apparent reason.

Have you noticed symptoms such as:

  • frequent headaches up to migraine;
  • You began to react sharply to bright light and sound;
  • focus has become much more difficult;
  • lymph nodes in the neck and armpits have increased (without the presence of other diseases);
  • persistent sore throat, muscles and joints (without the presence of other diseases).

Again, each symptom individually does not indicate the presence of CFS, but if you were examined by a therapist and he did not find any diseases that give you such symptoms, this is an occasion to contact a therapist who can adequately assess your condition and help to cope with ailment.

It has become difficult for you to enjoy success

If before you experienced the whole spectrum of positive emotions, now it has become much more difficult. You began to depreciate your successes and feel like an “imposter”, your self-esteem is rapidly falling.

If this condition is accompanied by other symptoms of fatigue, then now is the time to consult a psychologist.

You have lost the desire to do something

There is nothing wrong with lying on the couch all day on the weekend. But if you see that even ordinary household chores cause you great resistance, this is a serious reason to think.

Unresolved cases begin to accumulate like a snowball, and in order to solve them, you have to gather all your willpower into a fist.

Habitual relaxation methods do not work

If earlier you could be in company with friends, and then feel a burst of energy for another week, now such gatherings do not bring anything but apathy and fatigue.

Each of us has our own methods that relax and give us strength. With chronic fatigue syndrome, such joys of life become inaccessible to us. They just don’t work. As well as new ways.

You have significantly deteriorated relationships with loved ones

If you used to spend a lot of time with your loved ones, now you simply don’t have enough energy for that. And it’s quite difficult to be socially active when you are constantly tired.

In a state of chronic fatigue, it is more difficult for us not only to accept, but also to give support, which sooner or later can lead to loneliness and social isolation. So pay attention to your social circle.

It’s hard for you to control your emotions

There seems to be no reason for a bad mood, outbursts of aggression or unmotivated irritation. And you all experience this and do not know when your emotional state will improve. What you would not pay attention to before can lead to a nervous breakdown.

What to do?

Unfortunately, there is still no cure for CFS, all therapy is aimed at alleviating the symptoms. If you notice all these signs (or most), seek  qualified psychological help.

And this is a list of what you can do now:

  • normalize your daily routine;
  • take a course of massage and exercise therapy;
  • cure chronic diseases associated with insufficient oxygen supply to the body.
