What could be the causes of depression

In the first case, depression is caused by psychoemotional factors, for example, stress and various external stimuli. In the second case, depression develops against the background of mental illness, when the normal course of metabolic processes is disrupted.

People with depression often progress to migraines, gastrointestinal disorders, joint pain, and more. Because of this, depression can be difficult to recognize: doctors often take it for a psychosomatic disorder that is accompanied by the same symptoms. It turns out that depression, as it were, is disguised as another, more harmless disease.

Try not to get hung up on problems and think about the good and the positive. Not everything that happens in our lives is as terrible as you imagine it. Go for a walk or go in for sports: the most important thing in your position is to change the environment to relieve the brain. In addition, during sports, the body produces endorphins – hormones of happiness. With prolonged depression, they are simply necessary.

Do not stay too long at home: take friends and go for a walk or to the movies, get involved seriously in the work process. Do not give in to the impulse to quit and lock yourself at home.

In addition to the medicines prescribed by your doctor, try drinking infusion of chamomile for the night; it’s better to even brew it in tea. Valerian and motherwort should also “settle” in your first-aid kit.

An interesting fact from British scientists: people with higher education are less likely to suffer from depression. Research has been conducted on several thousand British university graduates. But people who graduated only from school suffered from this disease twice as often.
