8 Indulgent Foot Scrub Recipes To Show Your Feet Some Love

Beauty should flow from head to toe, right? So, the next time you show your face some love, don’t forget about your feet. Just like the skin on your face, that on your feet also requires thorough cleansing and exfoliating from time to time.

Don’t do that and your feet might not look as good as they should in a pair of open-heeled shoes!

So, if a quick glance at your feet shows you rough skin with cracks in it, it’s time you give your feet a good scrub. Here are 8 of them to give your tired feet some spa-like indulgence right in the comfort of your home:

1. Sea Salt Foot Scrub

Enriched with minerals and vitamins, sea salt can improve your feet’s skin quality. For this scrub, you’ll have to mix 3 tbsps. of sea salt with 1/4th cup of shower gel and 5 drops of an essential oil of your choice. Before applying the mixture, steam your feet.

Next, massage your feet gently with the scrub and let it stay for 10 minutes. Wash off with warm water and top it off with a moisturizing cream.

2. Tomato Scrub

Tomatoes are perfect for dry feet as they can intensely moisturize them and make them soft and supple. Besides, they also contain a ton of vitamins and minerals that are beneficial for your skin.

To make the scrub, blend one tomato and add 3 tbsps. of sea salt as well as 5 small drops of olive oil to it. Mix all of them together and apply the scrub on your feet, paying special attention to the heels. Keep it on for 10 minutes and wash off with warm water.

3. Vinegar And Honey Scrub

With this scrub, you can not only hydrate your trotters but also avoid fungal infections that affect your feet! In a small bowl, add 1 tbsp. of honey and 1 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar.

Mix the two with 3 tbsps. of sea salt to form a thick scrub. Rub it on your feet after steaming them and then cleanse with water.

4. Coffee Scrub

If you want to exfoliate your feet, you won’t find a better agent than coffee! This scrub will leave you with very soft and smooth feet without being heavy on your pocket.

All you have to do is make a mixture of 1 tbsp. of freshly ground coffee, 2 tbsps. of coconut oil and 1 tsp. of sea salt. Massage this scrub gently on your feet for no longer than 5 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

5. Brown Sugar Scrub

You can soften rough, hard feet with the help of this brown sugar foot scrub. Take a bowl and mix 1 tbsp. of brown sugar, 1 tbsp. of cocoa powder, 1 tbsp. of coffee powder and 1 tbsp. of cinnamon powder together. Add ½ tsp. of nutmeg and ground ginger each along with 2 tbsps. of almond oil.

Mix well together and apply to your feet that have been freshly steamed. Rinse off after waiting for 5 minutes.

6. Salt And Honey Scrub

Sea salt can really do wonders for your feet, which is why you’ll see this ingredient repeated in almost all of our foot scrub recipes. For this specific, foot nourishing scrub, you’ll need to combine 3 tbsps. of olive oil with 2 tbsps. of sea salt and 1 tbsp. of honey.

Once mixed, you can apply the scrub on your feet after steaming them with the help of a hot towel. The salt and honey scrub is quite effective in healing cracked feet.

7. Strawberry Scrub

This delicious scrub will have you salivating, but try not to eat it!

Mash two strawberries to a pulp and mix them with ½ a cup of sugar granules and 1 tbsp. of olive oil. Massage on cleansed feet in gentle motions for 5 minutes before washing off.

8. Lavender Scrub

The essential oil of lavender is anti-inflammatory as well as antiseptic in nature. It can help treat any kind of infection you may have on your feet and can even fix the problem of foot odor. To prepare this scrub, you’ll have to mix ½ a tsp. of lavender essential oil with ½ a cup of rapeseed oil, 1 cup of bath salts and 2 tbsps. of buds of lavender. The application process of this scrub is pretty much the same as the rest of them. Only, you have to ensure that you massage for a total of 5 minutes before you clean your feet with water.

These relaxing scrubs are a great way to show your ever-working feet a good time! After every foot scrubbing session though, make sure you moisturize your feet with a good quality moisturizer made specifically for your trotters. This’ll help preserve the moisture of your feet so that they don’t dry out due to the exfoliation brought about by scrubbing. Now, go and indulge your feet at home!
